30 Hour Famine

Even though i gave up food along with thousands of other around the united states Europe, etc. during the 30 hour famine i knew when my next meal was going to be, i knew that anytime i decided i didn't want to fast anymore i could eat. or when i go home there is going to be food there. Millions world wide don't have that pleasure. the 30 hour famine this year seemed different to me. there were ALOT of strange people doing it from other places with me at my church. but because there were so many people there
not really taking the experience seriously, that pushed me TO take it seriously and let it change me. so not only does my heart break for the hungry in this world but my
heart breaks for those who don't care. what i want to do with my life. and where i feel God is leading me is Africa, and different third world countries. even when i was little that's what i wanted to do. HELP PEOPLE! i want to become a nurse/teacher and this weekend brought back my desire, and
my drive to do achieve that dream!! so many people are hurting in this world and it just pisses me off that we keep on going on being selfish. most of all i am mad at myself because i know i am selfish. but the thing is i went without food for 30 hours and complained some. the world live food insecure and keep going living like normal. why should starvation be normal!?! that is just ridiculous.

and i asked God
"lord how can i keep on living like i am? how do you make a change in my lifestyle...
to be thankful EVERYDAY!?!??! lord i don't know how to continually remind myself?
i don't know how to walk in this lifestyle of unselfishness. lord i don't want to fall back

into this rut that society is in."

because i have never lived food insecure i don't know what its like to be so thankful, to be so unselfish. and it breaks my heart that i am selfish, and so many others are too.
sometimes we only think that the poverty

problems, starvation problem are only in third world countries. i mean its not called Africa hunger, or United states hunger, Asia hunger, Europe hunger it is called, WORLD HUNGER!! as i was watched one of the videos they showed last night a new thought came to my mind. that if our best friend, our mom, our dad, brother or sister, aunt, grandma, or a cousin died of starvation. how would we be affected? i mean sometimes the thought of world hunger becomes so normal to us that we don't realize these are real moms and dad, daughters, sons, friends, brothers and sisters that are dying ever minute! if your mom right now died of starvation how do you think that would affect you? seriously thinkabout that. when people all over the world LIVE with those feelings, more so then we could ever imagine.i can honestly say will not be the same from this weekend. and i really want to be changed from this weekend. i am going to make it my constant prayer that God will work in me a change in my attitude, and the way i look at things. and even though the whole world hunger thing can be so overwhelming, and we feel, i mean

i feel all the time "what can i do?"

God is still in control and has a plan. but we still need to stand up and say THIS ISN'T RIGHT!! and decide to DO SOMETING!! whether we see the change or not. if i can change ONE persons life. feed a child for ONE DAY! i will know that i did do something. but i will not stop there. i will keep going. i will fight this fight forever!!

" i went 30 HOURS, they LIVE food insecure"

its going to take more than those extreme-ist revolution-izers in the world to fix this problem.
its going to take all of us and God!! there is so much more i wish to tell. but this is good for now. :D
